CHEMICAL AGENT DOSING SKID

INTENDED USE AND DESCRIPTION

The chemical agent dosing unit is designed to feed chemical agents into the pipeline or before the process equipment; these chemical agents are aimed at oil demulsification and protecting pipelines and equipment from corrosion, salt deposits, paraffins, hydrate formation, etc. in oil and gas gathering, transportation and treatment systems, on multi-well pads, booster pump stations and integrated oil, gas and water treatment units.

The delivery set (the equipment configuration can be changed based on the data sheet) is:

  • ready-to-operate assembled modular container;
  • dosing pump - 2 pcs;
  • gear pump -1 pc;
  • tank;
  • piping, control and shutoff valves;
  • local control system (LCS);
  • instrumentation equipment (within the scope of supply limits);
  • heating and ventilation systems;
  • electrical equipment;
  • security and fire alarm;
  • spare parts kit;
  • power distribution cabinet;
  • completed instruments (including fire and gas alarms);
  • Supervised installation, commissioning and start-up, further assembly are subject to a separate contract;
  • documentation.

AUTOMATION

The chemical agent dosing skid consists of two separate compartments of one modular container mounted on a frame. One of the compartments houses the control cabinet (LCS). The compartments are divided with a fire-proof wall of type 2 with the fire resistance EI 15 pursuant to SP 2.13130.2012.

The list of controlled parameters: flow rate, liquid level in the tank with alarms for the bottom, top and maximum top level, injection pressure.

The complete delivery set includes a local control system (LCS). The LCS is responsible for protection, blocking, monitoring and control of all the process equipment within the modular packaged unit.

The LCS is based on a microprocessor machinery.The basic control equipment of the LCS is selected as approved with the Customer. The local control system allows access to the filed instruments for diagnostic purposes. The LCS developer defines and presents the minimum required list (volume) of parameters (information) to exchange with the higher control level. The developer ensures the required efficiency of control and sufficiency of diagnostic functions. The LCS and the superior control system exchange data via the RS-485 interface using Modbus RTU protocol.

The explosion protection degree of the metering instruments and automation equipment installed in the hazardous areas, consistent with Zone 1 as per GOST 30852.9-2002 (IEC 60079-10:1995) Explosion-Proof Electrical Equipment.  Part 10. Classification of Explosive Zones, the category and group of explosive mixtures IIA-T2 by EIC (Revision Six, updated with amendments, Federal State Energy Supervision, Moscow, 2000).

The explosion-proof equipment and instrumentation installed in hazardous areas mainly have explosion protection type ia and intrinsically safe circuits according to GOST 30852.10-2002 (IEC 60079-11:1999) Explosion-Proof Electrical Equipment. Part 11. If there is no EEx ia modification equipment, d explosion-proof equipment is used; it has an explosion-proof enclosur; this decision should be approved with the Customer.

The applied instrumentation equipment, placed in the process devices and pipelines, is placed in heated shelters or protected from the environment by heated enclosures (casings, cabinets).

Particular devices placed outdoors have the climatic modification F1 according to GOST 15150-69 (absolute minimum air temperature -53 0С).

The protection degree of the shells of instrumentation, junction boxes, etc., including cable glands and plugs placed outdoors should be at least IP56, and for equipment placed in a shelter at least IP42 in accordance with the requirements of GOST 14254-2015 (IEC 529-89).

The instruments functioning as a distributed control system monitor and control the technological process and have an intelligent centralized (with the LCS) diagnostics, setting and technical maintenance. 4-20 mA instruments using HART protocols (for configurating, diagnostics and technical maintenance).

Instrumentation which blocks the technological process when emergency values of the parameters are reached (process shutdown) is connected with physical (hard-wired) communication lines with: 24V discrete unified signals.

The functional purpose of the applied devices should be approved with the Customer.

The Customer will retain the right to change the instrumentation modification wen developing the detailed design documentation.

All instruments are verified or calibrated in accordance with the Law of the Russian Federation On Ensuring Uniformity of Measurements, approved by No. 102 FZ dated 26.06.08. The validity of verification or calibration shall expire at least 6 months after the date of acceptance and delivery of the equipment to the Customer.

Indicating thermometer and temperature sensors are installed in the process equipment with flanged thermowells.

Pressure sensors and pressure drop sensors are connected to the oil or oil-containing fluid pipelines with a isolating diaphragm.

The gas content is monitored with instruments equiped with optical sensors.

The modular containers are delivered with a temperature sensor or with a low indoor air temperature annunciator.

If there is a fire or gas in the modular container, the external fire and gas detection system receives an associated signal.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

Electrical equipment and protective measures are made in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documentation in force in the Russian Federation and ensuring safe operation of the facility for life and health of people.

The type and characteristics of the electrical equipment used correspond to the operating environment, purpose and nature of the work performed.

The power cabinet with the necessary set of starting and protective equipment is provided for the plant's own electrical consumers at 380/220 V. The power cabinet is installed in the chemical agent dosing modular container in the hardware compartment.

The low-voltage electrical equipment (electric heaters, ventilation units, electric gate valves) is designed for connection to the circuit of 380/220V voltage and 50Hz frequency.

The skid power circuits are made with a flame-retardant copper cable with low smoke and gas production; the cables are laid in metal trays with lids, from trays to consumers the network is laid through a metal hose.

The sable sections are selected according to the permissible continuous current, permissible voltage loss (5%) and the operation condition of the protective equipment in a single-phase short circuit in networks up to 1 kV (Ch.1.4 EIC, Revision 7).

The electrical wiring is selected in accordance with GOST R 50571.5.52-2011 Electrical Wiring and the EIC, Edition 7, Section 7, Chapter 7.1.

During mounting the wires are identified according to GOST R 50462-2009. All the connections are made in explosion-proof junction boxes, and in the places where lines pass through the wall of the container, the cables run through a tight bushing.

Tight cable passages by MKS were made to put the power cables in the unit. The entry holes number are taken, taking into account the feeder cables number.

There are plates with inscriptions near the equipment control stations, indicating the operations for which they are intended (RTOEIC cl.2.2.14).

All electrical equipment is equipped with signs 'danger of electric shock' in accordance with GOST R 12.4.026-2001.

Protection from the electrical shock hazard is ensured with: automatic power supply shutdown, protective grounding and equipotential bonding.

Electrical wiring of the distribution and group circuits of the operator's room are made according to the TN-S system.

The perimeter of the unit has an internal grounding loop of 4x40 mm steel strip, laid uncovered along the walls (main grounding bus).

According to the Chapter 1.7 EIC, Revision 7, for electrical safety purposes, protective grounding of exposed conductive parts is provided by means of special conductors connected with a separate clamp to PE conductors.

Metal housings of terminal boxes, metal parts of the process equipment, pipeline inlets, metal housings of lighting equipment, metal parts of the building framework are subject to protective grounding.

Protective grounding of electrical consumers is provided with a special additional wire (PE protective conductor).

A continuous reliable, durable, electrical connection between the metal roof and the metal frame of the modular container building is provided.

There are places for connecting external grounding conductors, marked 'grounding' in accordance with GOST 21130-75.

ПThe power supply system is based on Schneider Electric.

Electric lighting is provided in accordance with SP 52.13330.2011 Natural and Artificial Lighting and VSN 34-91 Industrial Standards of Artificial Lighting of Oil and Gas Industry.

The following types of lighting are provided:

  • emergency;
  • working;
  • outdoor.

The working lighting circuit is made with a flame-retardant copper cable with low smoke and gas production; the cables are laid in metal trays with lids, from trays to consumers the network is laid through a metal hose.

The electrical wiring is selected in accordance with GOST R 50571.5.52-2011 Electrical Wiring and the EIC, Edition 7, Section 7, Chapter 7.1.

The lamps are selected according to the environment characteristics and the room purpose.

The lighting is controlled with explosion-proof control posts installed at the room entrances. Near the control posts there are boards installed with inscriptions indicating the operations they are intended for.

The emergency lighting is made with explosion-proof LED lamps manufactured by Schneider Electric with an emergency power supply built in by the manufacturer.

The evacuation lighting is made with explosion-proof LED boards EXIT/ВЫХОД manufactured by Schneider Electric with an emergency power supply built in by the manufacturer.

Working and outdoor lighting is made with explosion-proof LED lights manufactured by Schneider Electric.

The lamps are mounted in such a way as to provide:

  • safe and easy access for maintenance;
  • creating rate illumination in the most economical way possible;
  • the shortest length and ease of installation of the group network;
  • security of lamps mounting.

TRANSPORTATION

The NPP AMMA chemical agent dosing skid can be transported by road, rail or sea (river) in accordance with the current rules of transportation for the particular type of transport.

Regarding the climatic factors, the unit can be transported as per group 8 of GOST 15150-69. Regarding physical impact factors, the transportation standard is GOST 23170-78.

Before transporting dismantle and secure all the removable parts of NPP AMMA chemical agent dosing skid as per instructions of this Operation Manual.

Only serviceable packages with intact lifting lugs are allowed for transportation.

The NPP АММА chemical agent dosing skid shall be loaded onto the vehicle by means of cranes of suitable lifting capacity, equipped with lifting and pulling devices.

The NPP АММА chemical agent dosing skid is allowed to be lifted only using the elements designed for lifting.

Otherwise lifting of the NPP АММА chemical agent dosing skid is prohibited.

The NPP АММА chemical agent dosing skid shall be secured in the vehicles in accordance with the handling and securing specifications for each type of transport.

The overall dimensions of the NPP АММА chemical agent dosing skid shall comply with the requirements of the handling dimensions from the Techncial Specifications for Handling and Securing Cargoes by the Ministry of Transport of Russia.

WARRANTY

The warranty period is at least 24 months from the date of signing the Certificate of Completion, but not more than 36 months from the date of shipment to the Customer's warehouse.
